16th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Video and Signal-based Surveillance (AVSS) 2019, Taipei, Taiwan

Project partner, CERTH represented ALADDIN in the IEEE International Conference on Advanced Video and Signal-based Surveillance (AVSS 2019) in Taipei, Taiwan, 18-21 September 2019, which was hosted by the University of Taipei. AVSS is the premier international conference in the field of video and signal-based surveillance. The goal was to provide a game-changing and cross-disciplinary forum that brings together experts from academia, industry, and government to advance the frontiers of theories, methods, systems, and applications. AVSS is sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society (PAMI TC) and the IEEE Signal Processing Society (IVMSP TC). There was a main conference as well as multiple associated workshops. One of them, The 2nd International Workshop on Small-Drone Surveillance, Detection and Counteraction Techniques (WOSDETC) aims at bringing together researchers from both academia and industry, to share recent advances in the field of small-drone surveillance, detection and counteraction techniques. In that context, CERTH – ALADDIN partner- joined the grand challenge submitting a paper and got the second place. The paper title is:

V. Magoulianitis, D. Ataloglou, A. Dimou, D. Zarpalas and P. Daras, “Does Deep Super-Resolution Enhance UAV Detection?”, 16th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Video and Signal-based Surveillance (AVSS), 18-21 September 2019, Taipei, Taiwan
